Crompton Greaves Consumer Electricals Ltd has appointed Tanmay Prusty as its Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), effective February 24, 2025. The appointment was approved by the company’s Board of Directors following a recommendation from the Nomination and Remuneration Committee.
With a bachelor’s degree in electronics engineering from NIT Jamshedpur and an MBA from XLRI Jamshedpur, Tanmay brings extensive marketing expertise across leading consumer brands.
Before joining Crompton Greaves, he served as Business Unit Head at Capital Foods, a Tata Consumer Products company, where he managed an ₹800 crore portfolio, overseeing brands such as Ching’s Secret and Smith & Jones.
Tanmay’s career spans leadership roles at Tata Consumer Products, Amazon, Reckitt Benckiser and ITC, where he contributed to the growth of prominent brands like Tata Tea, Dettol and Fiama Di Wills across the food, personal care and consumer electronics sectors. Notably, at Capital Foods, he played a pivotal role in post-acquisition integration with Tata Consumer Products, showcasing his expertise in business operations and stakeholder management.
With his deep understanding of brand strategy, consumer insights and market expansion, Tanmay is expected to drive Crompton Greaves’ marketing initiatives and further strengthen its position in the consumer electricals segment.
