Rimini Street, a global provider of enterprise software support, management, and innovation solutions, has announced the appointment of Vijay Kumar as Executive Vice President (EVP) and Chief Operating Officer (COO).

In his new role, Kumar will oversee Rimini Street’s product management, service strategy, and its signature “Support, Optimize, and Innovate” solutions. He will also lead the company’s Global Capability Centers (GCCs), focusing on driving operational efficiency, enhancing profitability, and accelerating top-line revenue growth.

Kumar brings over 25 years of experience in building and scaling high-performing teams across go-to-market functions, post-sales, professional services, and product organizations. His expertise spans enterprise software, SaaS platforms, customer success, and global delivery across B2B, B2C, and AI-driven solutions.

Before joining Rimini Street, Kumar was Senior Vice President at Genesys Cloud, where he led global operations, customer success, and service delivery. During his seven-year tenure, he played a pivotal role in expanding the customer base, improving revenue retention, and boosting operating margins. His previous leadership experience includes executive roles at HP Software, where he led services, sales, and delivery; Kony Inc., as Vice President and GM of Professional Services; and Vignette (now part of OpenText), as Vice President.

“I am thrilled to join the Rimini Street C-Level executive team at such a pivotal moment in the company’s growth journey. Together we are building a path to a multi-billion-dollar revenue operation, driving top and bottom-line results, while delivering extraordinary value and innovation for our clients.” said Kumar. “Our Rimini Smart Path™ methodology is a game changer; we empower customers to unlock the latest innovation without the burden of ERP upgrades or migrations. I am excited to lead the team that will show our clients how to self-fund innovation without disruption, within their existing IT budgets.”

“Vijay’s leadership is already making a positive impact as we continue scaling our business for increased profitability and accelerated revenue growth,” said Seth Ravin, CEO and chairman of the board at Rimini Street. “His broad operational expertise and experience and service roadmap vision make him an ideal fit for Rimini Street.”

Kumar holds a Bachelor of Commerce and an MBA from the Xavier School of Management (XLRI), India, and is based in Rimini Street’s North American headquarters. He reports directly to the CEO.
