Alembic Pharmaceuticals has announced the appointment of G. Krishnan as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Key Managerial Personnel. A seasoned finance leader with over 22 years of diverse experience, Krishnan has worked across the pharmaceuticals, life sciences, telecom, and social sectors, bringing with him a track record of driving strategic finance functions and organizational growth.
Krishnan is a qualified Chartered Accountant (CA), Cost and Management Accountant (CMA), and Company Secretary (CS). Before joining Alembic, he served as Vice President and CFO at Syngene Scientific Solutions Limited, a subsidiary of Syngene International, since May 2020. In this role, he played a pivotal role in shaping business strategy, overseeing mergers and acquisitions, strengthening governance frameworks, and leading enterprise-wide risk management initiatives.
Before Syngene, Krishnan held senior leadership positions at Vodafone and Tata Trusts, where he led high-impact finance functions, implemented scalable systems, and managed diverse, cross-functional teams.
His appointment follows the transition of R.K. Baheti, who has stepped down from his role as CFO. Baheti will continue to serve on Alembic’s board as an Executive Director, in line with the terms of his ongoing appointment.
