Allen Career Institute, a leading edtech and test-prep company, has appointed Rakesh Ranjan as the Chief Executive Officer of Allen Online, its digital-first arm. In this role, Ranjan will lead the institute’s technology-driven strategy to deliver learning outcomes at scale and strengthen its digital presence nationwide.
Rakesh Ranjan brings nearly two decades of experience in building and scaling high-growth businesses. Most recently, he served as CEO of Zomato’s food delivery business, where he drove profitability and market leadership. He also launched and scaled Hyperpure, Zomato’s B2B supply chain vertical, into a large business within two years.
Earlier in his career, Ranjan worked with Boston Consulting Group (BCG), advising leading Indian conglomerates on digital and operational transformation.
He succeeds Abha Maheshwari, a former Meta executive, who stepped down as CEO of Allen Digital after two years in the role.
