CVG India Appoints Abhijit Joshi as Managing Director

Commercial Vehicle Group, Inc. (CVG) has appointed Abhijit Joshi as the Managing Director of CVG India.

In this role, Abhijit will lead CVG India’s Domestic and Export business, focusing on strategic direction, accelerating growth, strengthening customer partnerships, enhancing operational excellence, launching new products, and creating sustainable value for employees, customers, and stakeholders.

Abhijit brings over two decades of leadership experience across global and Indian industrial, automotive, off-highway, and engineering sectors. His expertise spans business leadership, strategy, operations, sales and marketing, customer development, manufacturing excellence, and organizational transformation.

Before joining CVG India, Abhijit served as Vice President at Greaves Cotton Limited, where he was responsible for driving revenue generation and strategic growth initiatives across regional and global markets. He also managed P&L responsibilities, led business transformation initiatives, and worked toward strengthening sales strategy, operational performance, and organizational growth.

Prior to Greaves Cotton, Abhijit held the role of Business Lead – Engine and Components Business at Tata Cummins and Cummins Technologies. During his tenure, he led business management initiatives, developed growth strategies, managed P&L responsibilities, drove commercial excellence, and contributed to global growth initiatives.

His earlier leadership experience includes roles with Caterpillar Inc. and Cummins Generator Technologies, where he managed business operations, manufacturing initiatives, strategic planning, new product development, and process improvement programs.

Abhijit holds a Strategic Leadership Management qualification from the Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow, and an MBA in Marketing and Finance from Symbiosis International University. He is also a certified Six Sigma professional with experience in operational excellence and business process improvement initiatives.

Commenting on the appointment, CVG India highlighted Abhijit’s extensive leadership experience in driving profitable growth, building high-performing teams, strengthening customer relationships, and delivering business transformation across diverse markets.

As Managing Director, Abhijit will focus on strengthening CVG India’s market position, expanding business opportunities, enhancing operational capabilities, and supporting the company’s continued growth across domestic and export markets.
