Dr. Venkatesan N has been appointed as Chief Procurement Officer at Apollo Hospitals Enterprises Limited, bringing extensive experience in healthcare procurement, supply chain management, materials and commercial operations.
He joins Apollo Hospitals with over two decades of experience across healthcare organisations, having held leadership roles spanning procurement and supply-chain management.
Prior to this appointment, Dr. Venkatesan served as Director & Chief Procurement Officer, Supply Chain Management at Max Healthcare, a role he held from August 2021.
Before joining Max Healthcare, he spent over seven years with HealthCare Global, where he progressed through roles including Vice President – Supply Chain Management, Senior General Manager – Supply Chain Management and General Manager – Supply Chain Management (Corporate). He also served as Group Head for Purchase, Stores & Supply Chain Management.
Earlier in his career, Dr. Venkatesan held procurement, commercial, materials and pharmacy-related roles with organisations including BLK Super Speciality Hospital, Paras Healthcare Private Limited, Fortis Healthcare Limited and MEDSOURCE HEALTHCARE PRIVATE LIMITED.
His association with Apollo Hospitals also dates back to earlier stages of his career. He previously served with Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Limited as Sr. Executive – Pharmacy Operations and with Apollo Hospitals in a pharmacy-related role.
In his new role as Chief Procurement Officer, Dr. Venkatesan will bring his experience across healthcare procurement and supply-chain management to Apollo Hospitals Enterprises Limited.
