Arvind Fashions Appoints Lakshmi Krishnan as Chief Human Resources Officer

Arvind Fashions Limited has appointed Lakshmi Krishnan as its Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), strengthening the company’s leadership team as it focuses on organisational transformation, talent development, and long-term growth.

Lakshmi Krishnan brings more than 25 years of global HR leadership experience across India, Southeast Asia, and the United Kingdom. She has extensive expertise in organisational transformation, leadership development, capability building, people analytics, and talent strategy across consumer, financial services, and technology sectors.

Before joining Arvind Fashions, Lakshmi spent more than 14 years at Unilever, where she held several senior global HR leadership roles across procurement, engineering, supply chain, and corporate functions.

Most recently, she served as Head of HR, Corporate Functions at Unilever’s global headquarters in London, where she partnered with senior leadership teams across finance, legal, communications, and sustainability functions covering a global workforce of more than 7,000 employees.

Her previous leadership roles at Unilever included Head of HR – Global Procurement in Singapore, Global HR Director – Asia Supply Chain, and Global HR Director – Unilever Engineering. In these roles, she led HR strategy across large operational networks spanning factories, procurement systems, engineering operations, and regional supply chain teams across APAC and Southeast Asia markets.

According to her professional profile, Lakshmi has led large-scale organisation design and offshoring programmes that delivered more than €20 million in savings, while also driving inclusion initiatives and leadership development programmes.

Prior to Unilever, she worked with organisations including Lehman Brothers, Cognizant Technology Solutions, Apt Talent Partners, and Bedrock HR.

Lakshmi is currently completing the CHRO Programme from Wharton Executive Education and holds a Master of Social Work in Human Resources from the University of Madras.
