Sky Gold & Diamonds Limited has appointed Akash Talesara as its Chief Executive Officer (CEO), effective June 9, 2026. The appointment was approved by the company’s Board of Directors following recommendations from its Nomination and Remuneration Committee and Audit Committee.
Talesara brings more than 23 years of experience in the gems and jewellery industry, having built expertise across business development, merchandising, exports, diamond jewellery sales, product development, and market expansion. Throughout his career, he has worked with leading jewellery organizations, helping drive revenue growth, strengthen customer relationships, expand distribution networks, and develop new business opportunities in both domestic and international markets.
Prior to his elevation as CEO, Talesara served as President – Sales & Business Development at Sky Gold & Diamonds, where he was responsible for leading marketing, sales, and merchandising functions while supporting the company’s expansion across India and global markets. During his tenure, he played a key role in strengthening client partnerships, enhancing market presence, and driving business growth.
An alumnus of the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), Talesara has also completed advanced management education from the Indian Institute of Management (IIM). His professional journey includes leadership roles at organizations such as Asian Star Company Limited, Emerald Jewels Industries India Ltd., Gold Star Jewellery Ltd., Firestar Diamond Group, Fine Group, and Tara Jewels Limited.
Known for his strategic approach, market insight, and ability to build high-performing teams, Talesara has successfully led initiatives focused on product innovation, business expansion, and operational excellence. His experience spans multiple global markets, including the United States, Europe, the Middle East, and Australia.
With his appointment, Sky Gold & Diamonds aims to further strengthen its growth trajectory, expand its market footprint, and enhance long-term value creation for customers, partners, and shareholders.
