Based in Gurgaon, Makkar will lead the Engineering and Data Science teams and join the REA India Executive Leadership Team, reporting directly to Dhruv Agarwala, CEO.
With over 19 years of experience in technology leadership, Makkar has a strong track record of driving innovation at global technology companies. Before joining REA India, he spent seven years at Expedia India, where he led key eCommerce technology initiatives. Prior to that, he was with Amazon, spearheading global engineering teams focused on retail experiences and alternative delivery models.
