The Indian Express has appointed Shobhit Singhal as its Chief Technology and Product Officer, strengthening its leadership team as the organization continues to advance its digital and consumer experience capabilities.
In his new role, Singhal will lead key functions including product, engineering, design, marketing, growth and subscriptions. He will be responsible for driving innovation and enhancing the overall digital ecosystem of the company.
Prior to joining The Indian Express, Singhal served as the Co-founder and Managing Director at Kaanan Kul. He brings with him extensive experience in product development, monetisation and digital strategy.
Singhal’s professional journey includes notable stints at leading global and digital-first organizations such as Moloco and Disney+ Hotstar, where he led product and monetisation initiatives. He has also held key roles at Google, Echo Plans, Mitr Learning & Media and Hurix Systems, contributing to product innovation and digital growth.
With this appointment, The Indian Express aims to further accelerate its digital transformation and strengthen its position in the evolving media landscape.
