Angel One has appointed Rohit Chatter as its Chief Data Officer (CDO), reinforcing the company’s commitment to AI-driven innovation and customer-centric financial solutions. With a distinguished career spanning nearly three decades in AI, data science and platform development, Rohit’s expertise is set to play a crucial role in accelerating Angel One’s data-led transformation. His leadership will further strengthen the company’s digital-first approach, enhancing the overall investing experience for its customers.
Before joining Angel One, Rohit served as Chief Software Architect at Walmart Global Tech, where he led technology strategy, data science and analytics across U.S. e-commerce and retail operations. He played a pivotal role in pioneering Generative AI at scale, driving innovation across Walmart’s digital ecosystem.
Previously, Rohit was the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of InMobi Marketing Cloud, where he led global data science and platform engineering teams. He was instrumental in scaling the Remarketing Platform into a high-margin business across key international markets, leveraging his expertise in big data and automation to drive multi-million-dollar growth.
His career also includes a tenure at Yahoo India as a Senior Architect, where he spearheaded initiatives in Sponsored Search Analytics, Audience Analytics, Big Data (Hadoop) and Web Analytics platforms. Rohit has held multiple leadership roles in the U.S., including Senior Manager at Talisma, Manager at IPSoft and Technical Lead roles at TiVo and Alcatel.
Rohit brings extensive experience across large-scale Oracle databases, Unix (Sun Sparc, Linux), Microsoft technologies and programming languages such as Perl, Python and Java. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electronics & Telecommunications and an MBA in General Management from NMIMS.
