BMW India Financial Services has announced the appointment of Mr. Andreas Modlmayer as its new Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, succeeding Mr. Jaejoon Lee.
Mr. Modlmayer has been with the BMW Group since 2000, holding a variety of senior leadership roles across multiple international markets. Prior to his current appointment, he served as CEO of BMW Austria Bank in Greece. His career spans key financial services leadership positions in New Zealand, China, and Hong Kong, underlining his extensive global exposure. He began his journey with BMW Bank GmbH in Munich, working in the Sales and Marketing division.
Commenting on the appointment, Ms. Lisa Ng, Regional CEO of BMW Group Financial Services for Asia Pacific, said: “Mr. Andreas Modlmayer brings with him valuable expertise and leadership acumen, with successful development of BMW Financial Services in diverse markets for over two decades. India is an important market for us, and we are confident that he will further add to the company’s growth as he takes charge of BMW India Financial Services.”
Ms. Ng also acknowledged the contributions of Mr. Jaejoon Lee, stating: “We thank Mr. Jaejoon Lee for his immense contribution to BMW India Financial Services in the recent years. He successfully steered the company with new initiatives in product offerings and customer centricity and strengthened the foundation for future growth. We wish him all the best as he returns to BMW Korea once again.”
Under Mr. Lee’s leadership, BMW India Financial Services reinforced its standing as a premier provider of end-to-end automotive finance solutions, playing a critical role in the brand’s value offering to Indian customers.
