Shatmanyu Shrivastava Appointed as Chief Risk Officer of LIC

The Board of Directors of Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) has appointed Shatmanyu Shrivastava as the Chief Risk Officer (CRO), effective March 19, 2025, according to an exchange filing by the insurer.

Shrivastava, who began his journey with LIC as an 18th batch direct recruitment officer in 1990, brings over three decades of extensive experience across the organization’s four-tier structure — branch offices, divisional offices, zonal offices, and the central office. In May 2022, he took on the role of Chief (F&A) at LIC’s central office, where he played a key role in overseeing the first financial closing post the company’s IPO. His expertise spans regulatory compliance under SEBI (LODR) and IRDAI guidelines.

A distinguished professional, Shrivastava is a fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and the Insurance Institute of India (since 2000). He is also pursuing actuarial studies, having successfully cleared seven papers conducted by the Institute of Actuaries of India.
