Ador Welding Appoints Krishnamurthy Suryanarayan as CFO & Head – Strategy

Ador Welding Limited has appointed Krishnamurthy Suryanarayan as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Head – Strategy, effective August 15, 2026. He succeeds Surya Kant Sethia, who is stepping down as CFO after an 11-year association with the company.

The leadership transition was approved by Ador Welding’s Board of Directors on July 30, 2026. Sethia will continue in his role until August 14, 2026, after which Suryanarayan will take charge.

Surya Kant Sethia to Step Down as CFO

Surya Kant Sethia tendered his resignation as Chief Financial Officer on July 30, 2026. He is stepping down to pursue opportunities outside the organization and will be relieved from his duties at the close of business on August 14, 2026.

Sethia has been associated with Ador Welding for 11 years. In his resignation letter, he cited personal reasons for his decision and expressed his gratitude to the Board, leadership team and colleagues for their trust and support during his tenure.

He has also committed to supporting the company through the handover process to ensure a smooth transition.

Krishnamurthy Suryanarayan Appointed CFO & Head – Strategy

Krishnamurthy Suryanarayan will assume the role of CFO & Head – Strategy at Ador Welding from August 15, 2026.

A Commerce graduate and Chartered Accountant, Suryanarayan brings more than 25 years of experience across financial management, business accounting, financial planning, treasury and forex management, mergers and acquisitions, commercial and supply-chain finance, corporate taxation, compliance and investor relations.

He joins Ador Welding with extensive experience across the life sciences, consumer products and automotive sectors.

Suryanarayan’s Professional Journey

Suryanarayan began his career with RPG Life Sciences in 1996 as an Audit Manager. He later moved into a leadership role overseeing the finance function of the company’s Agro Chemical division.

He subsequently joined Godrej Consumer Products Ltd. (GCPL), where he headed Commercial and Logistics for the Western Region. He later served as CFO and a member of the leadership team for GCPL’s Africa business, managing finance, audit, taxation, planning and compliance. The business contributed more than ₹2,500 crore annually to GCPL, according to Ador Welding’s regulatory filing.

In July 2020, Suryanarayan joined CEAT Ltd, where he headed the Business Partnering function and worked closely with manufacturing and commercial finance teams to improve productivity and margins.

Prior to joining Ador Welding, he served as Chief Financial Officer of Astec Lifesciences Ltd.

A Broader Finance and Strategy Mandate

Suryanarayan’s appointment as CFO & Head – Strategy gives him a broader leadership mandate spanning financial management and strategic business priorities.

His experience across finance, commercial operations, business partnering, M&A and strategic functions brings a combination of financial and business leadership experience to the role.

The leadership transition will be completed on August 15, 2026, when Suryanarayan formally takes charge following Sethia’s departure.
