Air India SATS Airport Services (AISATS) has announced the appointment of Namit Baikar as its new Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), effective April 1, 2024.
With over 19 years of experience in aviation, manufacturing, retail, and logistics across the Asia-Pacific and Middle East regions, Baikar brings a wealth of expertise in talent management and organizational development.
In his current role, Baikar serves as Head of Human Capital for SATS India, overseeing HR functions across subsidiaries and joint ventures. Additionally, he is responsible for human capital strategy within Global Operations and Food Solutions at SATS.
Before joining SATS, Baikar played a key role in establishing IKEA’s market entry and distribution network strategy in India and the broader APAC region. As part of the APAC Business Development Leadership Programme, he transitioned into a business role, setting up IKEA’s first Dark Store and leading the fulfillment team for its e-commerce launch.
Baikar holds a Master’s degree in Human Resources and is a certified leadership coach. He is also a Six Sigma Green Belt holder, reflecting his commitment to operational excellence and process improvement.
