RIR Power Electronics Limited (BSE-listed) has announced the appointment of N Ramesh Kumar as its Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, effective 11 February 2026.
As part of the leadership transition, Ramesh G. Trasi, who has served as Chief Executive Officer of the company for over 22 years, will move into the role of Chief Technology Officer (CTO). In this capacity, he will continue to lead RIR Power Electronics’ technology development and innovation roadmap.
N Ramesh Kumar brings with him over 42 years of leadership experience, spanning sales and marketing, business development, and P&L-driven business management across multiple product lines and geographies. A seasoned strategic leader, he has consistently driven market share expansion through focused growth initiatives, new product development, and brand-building efforts.
Prior to joining RIR Power Electronics, Kumar served as Global Business Head – Industrial Products and Solutions at CG Power and Industrial Solutions Limited, where he successfully scaled operations, managed complex business portfolios, and delivered sustained profitability. He was also a member of CG Power’s Executive Committee, the highest decision-making body reporting to the Board, and played a key role in shaping the company’s business strategy through close engagement with customers, channel partners, business partners, and unions.
Most recently, he held the position of Chief Executive Officer at Diffusion Engineers Limited, where he oversaw domestic and international manufacturing facilities along with regional sales operations.
