Tilaknagar Industries has appointed Ina Bajwa as Chief People Officer. She will report to the Chairman & Managing Director and will be based at the company’s head office in Mumbai.
Ameya Deshpande, Chief Strategy Officer at Tilaknagar Industries, who had been overseeing the human resources function as an additional responsibility on an interim basis, will continue to focus on his core responsibilities spanning corporate strategy, mergers and acquisitions and investor relations.
Bajwa brings more than 22 years of experience in human resources across sectors including retail, e-commerce, technology, banking, consulting and infrastructure, working with both Indian and global organisations.
Prior to joining Tilaknagar Industries, she served as Group Head – Talent & Engagement for Landmark Group in the Middle East, where she was responsible for CEO and executive succession planning and talent strategy across nine retail brands.
Earlier in her career, Bajwa held several leadership roles within the Tata Group. These included serving as Chief Human Resources Officer at Tata 1mg and Chief Talent Officer at Tata Digital. She also held senior HR roles at Tata Communications, partnering with senior leadership on growth, transformation and organisational effectiveness. Earlier in her career, she worked with HSBC and the Essar Group.
Bajwa has extensive expertise in human resource management, including talent and succession management, leadership development, organisation design, performance and rewards, workforce planning, culture transformation and HR digitisation. She has also led large multicultural teams across geographies.
She holds a PGDM in Human Resources from KJ Somaiya Institute of Management & Research and a bachelor’s degree in Communications and Economics from Panjab University. She is also an alumna of the Tata Group Strategic Leadership Program at Harvard Business School and holds multiple professional certifications in talent management, assessments and executive coaching.
