Manish Kainth has joined Torrent Pharmaceuticals as its new Chief Human Resources Officer, marking a strategic step in the company’s ongoing global expansion and transformation journey. In his new role, Kainth will lead the organisation’s HR strategy, focusing on leadership development, performance-driven culture, and innovation-led people practices.
With over two decades of experience in HR leadership across diverse sectors—pharmaceuticals, FMCG, banking, and technology—Kainth brings a well-rounded perspective on building future-ready organisations. His core strengths lie in talent development, organisational transformation, and setting up scalable global HR frameworks.
Prior to Torrent Pharma, he spent over a decade at Tata Consumer Products, where he played multiple leadership roles, including Senior Vice President – HR. He also led the HR function for the company’s international operations from the UK. Kainth joined Tata Consumer Products in 2015 and was instrumental in shaping the people agenda across geographies.
His earlier career includes key roles at GlaxoSmithKline Consumer, HSBC, IBM, Hindustan Unilever, and Tata Motors—adding depth to his cross-industry expertise and reinforcing his ability to drive people strategies at scale.
Kainth’s appointment underscores Torrent Pharmaceuticals’ focus on strengthening its leadership bench and fostering a high-performance, people-first culture as it scales its global footprint.
