Angel One has appointed Ajit Narayanan as Chief Technology Officer (CTO), effective June 8, 2026. In this role, he will lead the company’s engineering function and drive its technology strategy as the fintech firm continues to strengthen its digital infrastructure, platform scalability, and artificial intelligence capabilities.
Narayanan brings more than 25 years of experience across consumer internet, e-commerce, digital healthcare, retail, supply chain, and enterprise technology. He has built and scaled products, platforms, and engineering teams across early-stage ventures as well as large-scale organizations, with deep expertise in AI, product development, and platform transformation.
His key achievements include helping build MFine into a $200 million digital health business, driving technology-led innovation supporting more than $1 billion in gross merchandise value at Myntra, and leading Licious’ transformation into an AI-driven quick-commerce platform. He has also played leadership roles at Reliance Retail, SAP, and ANZ-IT, contributing to the development and scaling of enterprise-grade technology systems.
As part of Angel One’s broader focus on building scalable and intelligent financial services infrastructure, Narayanan will focus on strengthening core platforms, accelerating execution, and expanding AI-led capabilities across systems and products.
The appointment comes as financial services companies increasingly invest in artificial intelligence, automation, and cloud-native platforms to enhance customer experience, improve operational efficiency, and support large-scale digital adoption.
The leadership change is part of a broader technology realignment at Angel One. As part of this transition, Ravish Sinha will move from his role as Group Chief Product and Technology Officer to an individual technologist position within the office of the Group CEO.
Prior to joining Angel One, Narayanan led technology for supply chain and commercial platforms at Reliance Retail. Earlier, he served as Chief Technology and Product Officer at Licious, where he led the modernization of customer and operational platforms through data and AI. He was also the co-founder of MFine, one of India’s early AI-powered digital healthcare platforms.
At Myntra, he played a key role in scaling technology infrastructure and implementing machine learning across personalization, pricing, and demand forecasting. Earlier in his career, he held leadership positions at SAP and ANZ-IT, where he contributed to enterprise technology development across global markets.
Narayanan has led global teams of over 400 professionals across engineering, product, data, and design functions. He also holds multiple patents and has published research in artificial intelligence, mobile computing, and enterprise software.
With this appointment, Angel One aims to further accelerate its AI and platform engineering agenda as it continues building scalable, secure, and intelligent financial services infrastructure for the next phase of growth.
