Rajjat Ravi Chopra has joined MB Chicken India as Vice President – Operations & Development, effective September 2026, and is based in New Delhi. He reports to the founding team.
In his new role, Chopra will lead operations excellence, strategy, P&L and new-store development as MB Chicken India expands its presence across India. His mandate includes building system-driven operations through standard operating procedures (SOPs), training and quality initiatives, strengthening store unit economics and P&Ls, brand positioning, ensuring compliance, driving new store openings and enhancing guest experience as the brand scales nationally.
MB Chicken India is the Indian arm of Mary Brown’s Chicken, the Canadian fried chicken brand known for real, hand-breaded fresh chicken. The brand currently has outlets across Punjab and Chandigarh, in both cities and highway locations. It will operate across dine-in, drive-thru, food court, airport and high-street formats.
As part of its growth plans, MB Chicken India is targeting 10 new outlets by March 2027, taking its network to 15 outlets, followed by 15 more outlets by December 2027. The company aims to reach 30 outlets by the end of calendar year 2027, with plans for pan-India expansion across cities, malls, high streets, highways and airports. Its longer-term target is to reach 220 outlets within four to five years.
Chopra brings about 23 years of leadership experience in the food and beverage industry, with a focus on P&L ownership, business strategy and multi-unit expansion. His career journey includes Ruby Tuesday India, PVR Limited, Devyani Food Street, Franchise India, PVR BluO Entertainment, Carnival Cinemas and Gourmet Popcornica Pvt Ltd.
He holds a Diploma in Hotel Management from IHM and a B.Com from Delhi University. He is also an IICA-certified Independent Director.
