Garima Kochar Appointed as Chief Human Resources Officer at KEC Asian Cables Ltd.

KEC Asian Cables Ltd. part of the RPG Group, has appointed Garima Kochar as its Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), strengthening its leadership team as the company sharpens its focus on people strategy and organizational transformation.

In her new role, Kochar will lead the company’s human capital agenda, focusing on building a high-performance culture, strengthening leadership pipelines and aligning HR practices with business growth objectives.

Kochar brings over two decades of experience in human resources leadership, with expertise in talent management, organizational development and large-scale workforce strategy across industrial and energy sectors.

Prior to joining KEC Asian Cables Ltd., Kochar served as Vice President – Human Resources at Apraava Energy, where she played a key role in shaping HR strategy and supporting organizational growth initiatives. Earlier, Kochar was Chief People Officer at Evonith Steel, leading enterprise-wide HR programs and driving talent and organizational effectiveness.

Kochar spent a significant part of her career with Holcim Group companies in India, including ACC Ltd. and Ambuja Cement. Over nearly two decades, she held multiple leadership roles, including Head HR & Admin, where she managed HR operations for four pan-India divisions. Kochar also led leadership development initiatives and earlier drove performance management systems and employee engagement, contributing to strong organizational culture and talent frameworks. She began her career at ACC Ltd. as a Human Resources Manager.

Kochar holds a Post Graduate Programme in Management (PGPM) in Human Resources from Lal Bahadur Shastri Institute of Management.
