Thermax Appoints Kavita Singh as Chief Human Resources Officer

Thermax has appointed Kavita Singh as Chief Human Resources Officer and Senior Management Personnel, further strengthening its leadership team as the company continues to focus on organisational capability, leadership development, and workforce transformation.

She will officially take charge on May 25, following the approval of her appointment by the company’s Board on May 7, 2026.

In her new position, Singh will be responsible for driving Thermax’s people strategy, with a focus on talent development, employee engagement, succession planning, culture initiatives, and workforce management across the organisation.

Singh brings over two decades of HR leadership experience across sectors including manufacturing, logistics, telecom, and insurance.

Before joining Thermax, she was associated with United Breweries as Chief Human Resources Officer, where she led key initiatives related to leadership development, employee wellbeing, organisational change, and engagement across an extensive operational network. Her role covered 19 manufacturing facilities, 16 co-pack units, and a workforce of more than 12,000 employees.

Earlier, she served as CHRO at Hindustan Zinc, overseeing HR operations across 11 locations and supporting a workforce of over 20,000 employees and workers. During her tenure, she worked on areas including succession planning, labour relations, governance, capability building, and talent management.

She also spent more than a decade with A.P. Moller – Maersk in leadership roles across India, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.

Subsequently, Singh joined Damco Logistics as Regional Director and Head of Human Resources for Africa, South Asia, and the Middle East, managing HR operations across 27 markets.

Over the course of her career, she has also worked with ICICI Prudential Life Insurance, Tata AIG, and Reliance Communications in various HR and talent management roles.

Thermax operates in the energy and environmental management space, offering solutions across heating, cooling, water treatment, waste management, and clean energy for industrial and commercial customers worldwide.

Singh holds an MBA in Human Resources Management from Bharathidasan Institute of Management and a Bachelor of Science (Honours) degree from University of Rajasthan.
