Cipla has appointed Shivam Puri as the Chief Executive Officer of its One India Business and a member of the Management Council, effective July 1, 2026. The appointment marks a significant leadership transition as the company continues to strengthen its presence across pharmaceutical, healthcare, and consumer wellness segments.
Puri brings over 23 years of experience across healthcare and fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) sectors, with expertise in commercial leadership, consumer marketing, business strategy, and building scalable consumer-focused businesses.
Prior to this appointment, Puri served as the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Cipla Health Limited, Cipla’s wholly owned subsidiary focused on consumer healthcare and wellness products. He will continue to lead Cipla Health while taking on the additional responsibility of heading Cipla’s One India Business.
During his tenure at Cipla Health, Puri played a key role in shaping and expanding the company’s consumer healthcare portfolio. Under his leadership, Cipla Health strengthened its presence across multiple wellness categories, including smoking cessation, pain care, cough and cold, dermatology, hair care, and nutrition.
Cipla Health emerged as one of the prominent players in India’s OTC and Fast Moving Wellness Goods (FMWG) segment, expanding its footprint across consumer healthcare markets while focusing on innovation, brand building, and operational growth.
Before joining Cipla in 2019, Puri held leadership positions at organizations including Hindustan Unilever, Jubilant FoodWorks, and ITC. His experience across consumer brands, business transformation, and large-scale commercial operations has helped shape his expertise in driving growth across both regulated and non-regulated healthcare segments.
His appointment as CEO of the One India Business reflects Cipla’s focus on strengthening its domestic pharmaceutical operations while creating greater alignment between its pharmaceutical and consumer healthcare businesses. Puri’s dual role is expected to support the company’s efforts in accelerating market expansion, enhancing operational efficiency, and building stronger healthcare solutions for consumers.
With India’s healthcare and consumer wellness markets continuing to evolve, Puri’s leadership will play a key role in guiding Cipla’s next phase of growth and transformation.
