NovaBridge Biosciences, a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company focused on developing innovative medicines for areas of significant unmet need, has appointed Dr. Srishti Gupta, MD MPP, as Chief Executive Officer and a member of the company’s Board of Directors, effective July 1, 2026.
Dr. Gupta succeeds Xi-Yong (Sean) Fu, PhD MBA, who will step down from the CEO role to pursue other opportunities. He will continue supporting NovaBridge in an advisory capacity during the transition period.
Bringing more than two decades of leadership experience across biopharmaceuticals, global health, and strategy, Dr. Gupta has held senior leadership roles focused on healthcare innovation, business transformation, and strategic partnerships.
In her new role as CEO, Dr. Gupta will focus on advancing givastomig toward registration, expanding the ophthalmology franchise under Visara, and establishing strategic partnerships to maximize the potential of NovaBridge’s medicines for patients and shareholders globally.
Fu Wei, Chairman of the Board of NovaBridge, said, “Srishti’s perspective as both a physician and CEO makes her uniquely suited to lead NovaBridge. Her global commercial experience and proven ability to build strategic partnerships positions NovaBridge to advance givastomig and VIS-101 toward registration, and deliver innovative medicines to patients. I am confident in her ability to create lasting value for our patients and shareholders. The Board and I are grateful to Sean Fu for his contributions to NovaBridge as our former CEO and wish him well in his future endeavors.”
Commenting on her appointment, Dr. Gupta said, “Extraordinary science is being created faster than the industry’s ability to bring it to patients — and NovaBridge was built to bridge that gap. We believe our competitive advantage is identifying underappreciated, differentiated assets and advancing them toward registration and global reach through the right partnerships. My immediate priority is delivering on that promise for patients and shareholders.”
Dr. Srishti Gupta is a physician-executive with more than two decades of leadership experience across biopharmaceuticals, global health, and strategy.
Prior to joining NovaBridge, she served as Chief Executive Officer of Idorsia Ltd, a Switzerland-based biopharmaceutical company, where she led the organization through an operational and financial transformation.
Earlier in her career, Dr. Gupta spent 18 years at McKinsey & Company, where she led the firm’s Global Health Practice and advised life sciences companies and governments on strategy, growth, market access, and organizational transformation.
She currently serves on the board of Santhera Pharmaceuticals and has previously served on the boards of Invivyd, Inc. and Idorsia Ltd. She is also a board member of Partners In Health and a Board Trustee of the International Vaccine Institute.
