Muthoot FinCorp Ltd., the flagship financial services company of the Muthoot Pappachan Group (Muthoot Blue), has appointed Manoj Kumar Mauni as its Chief Technology Officer (CTO).
The appointment underscores the company’s continued focus on strengthening its technology capabilities to support business growth, innovation, and customer experience as it advances its digital transformation initiatives.
Mauni is a seasoned technology leader with more than three decades of professional experience, including over 25 years in the Banking, Financial Services and Insurance (BFSI) sector and over 15 years in executive leadership roles. Throughout his career, he has led large-scale technology transformation programmes spanning IT strategy, cybersecurity, cloud transformation, core banking modernisation, enterprise architecture, enterprise risk and fraud management, IT service management, and enterprise-wide technology delivery.
In his new role, Mauni will lead Muthoot FinCorp’s technology strategy and drive the development of a future-ready technology architecture aligned with the company’s long-term business objectives. He will be responsible for strengthening digital capabilities, modernising enterprise platforms, enhancing cybersecurity, and leveraging technology to improve customer experience, operational efficiency, and innovation across the organisation.
Prior to joining Muthoot FinCorp, Mauni served as Chief Information Officer – Telecom at Bharti Airtel. Earlier, he was Chief Technology Officer at Bandhan Bank, where he led the bank’s technology transformation from legacy systems to a modern technology infrastructure. He has also held senior leadership positions at Kotak Mahindra Bank and Kotak Life Insurance, playing a key role in shaping their IT strategy and technology landscape.
An engineering graduate from BITS Pilani, Mauni also holds a Master’s in Financial Management from Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies (JBIMS), Mumbai. He has been recognised among India’s Top 30 CTOs and has received multiple industry accolades, including the IT Next100 CIO Award and the Technology Innovation Leader Award, for his contributions to technology leadership and digital transformation.
