Piramal Pharma Ltd – Consumer Products Division has appointed Vishal Bhargava as its new Chief Information Officer (CIO) to lead the company’s technology transformation agenda.
With over 24 years of experience in IT strategy, digital transformation, enterprise applications, AI adoption, and Industry 4.0/5.0 initiatives, Bhargava brings a proven track record in driving large-scale technology programs.
In his new role, he will oversee major initiatives including SAP HANA migration, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations deployment, and Salesforce CRM adoption. These projects aim to enhance operational agility, improve data accuracy, and strengthen customer engagement, while integrating advanced analytics, cloud scalability, and automation to future-proof the organisation’s technology landscape.
Before joining Piramal Pharma, Bhargava served as Group CIO at Astarc Group, where he led SAP HANA migration, Dynamics 365 implementation, Salesforce deployment, and Industry 4.0 programs. His achievements included introducing IoT-based predictive maintenance, AI-driven cybersecurity threat detection, and low-code/no-code adoption to accelerate IT responsiveness.
Earlier, as Head of Technology at Pidilite Industries, he spearheaded digital transformation across manufacturing, supply chain, and quality functions, integrating IoT into production processes and enhancing real-time business intelligence systems. He has also held senior roles at L&T Infotech, Computer Sciences Corporation, Tata Consultancy Services, Sterlite Technologies, and Videocon Appliances.
With Bhargava at the helm of IT, Piramal Pharma aims to accelerate its digital-first strategy, aligning technology investments with business objectives to strengthen its position in the consumer healthcare market.
