Everest Kanto Cylinder Limited (EKC), a leading manufacturer of high-pressure gas cylinders, has appointed Narender Prasad Gupta as its Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Key Managerial Personnel (KMP), effective July 1, 2026.
Gupta brings more than 25 years of leadership experience across the automotive and manufacturing industries. A Mechanical Engineer from the Institution of Engineers, India, he also holds an MBA from IMT Ghaziabad and is certified as a Black Belt in Lean Six Sigma – Advanced Supply Chain.
He has extensive expertise in business strategy, operations management, business transformation, lean manufacturing, supply chain optimization, digital transformation, project management, financial planning, and organizational leadership. Throughout his career, Gupta has successfully led large-scale manufacturing operations, executed high-value global business contracts, driven operational excellence, and implemented cost optimization and productivity improvement initiatives.
Prior to joining Everest Kanto Cylinder, Gupta served as Head – Export Divisions at Jamna Auto Industries, where he led export business operations and drove business process restructuring across the group. Earlier, as President & CEO of HMC E Valley (Hero Motors), he spearheaded business turnaround initiatives, secured global contracts, expanded export operations, and established strategic international partnerships.
Over the years, Gupta has held senior leadership positions at Stellantis India, Hero Motors, Metzeler Automotive, Cooper Standard, and Motherson Sumi, building deep expertise in manufacturing excellence, plant operations, business development, program management, and organizational transformation.
His contributions to the manufacturing sector have earned him several industry recognitions. In 2024, he was featured among the Top 10 Indian Manufacturing CEOs by CEO Insights. He has also received multiple Supplier Excellence Awards from leading global OEMs, including BMW, Ducati, Harley-Davidson, and the Belgian Cycle Factory, in recognition of his leadership and operational excellence.
With Gupta at the helm, Everest Kanto Cylinder is expected to strengthen its strategic growth initiatives, enhance operational excellence, and accelerate its domestic and international business expansion.
